Trina Solar improves the efficiency of 210 mm PERC solar modules

Chinese component manufacturer Trina Solar said that 66 single-crystal p-type components based on PERC cells with a size of 210×210 mm have achieved a power conversion efficiency of 23.53%.
This result was confirmed by the China National Solar Photovoltaic Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (CPVT).
“We are proud to announce the latest results developed by our technical team, achieving a mass efficiency of over 23.5% of large-area 210mm high-efficiency PERC cells in production,” said Chen Yifeng, the company’s high-efficiency battery and module leader, in the R&D center. “This shows that 210 batteries can achieve very high efficiency in reality. Our technical team will continue to focus on transferring innovative technologies to the manufacturing industry to consolidate our technological leadership in the mass production of high-efficiency batteries.”
The company increased its panel efficiency by 0.5% in early July. This result has been certified by the German standards bodies TÜV Rheinland and TÜV Nord. At that time, Trina stated that its scientists had developed a new Multi-Musbar (MBB) technology to improve optical shadows and developed a new hybrid welding technology to minimize the gap between the cells, but did not provide more details. .
